Joe Jackson has announced his retirement from professional football after a decorated and decorated career in rugby league.

The 28-year-old was a two-time All Australian and was a four-time premiership player with the Cowboys in 2006 and 2007.

Jackson played for the Cronulla Sharks in the Western Sydney Wanderers, the Melbourne Storm, the Sydney Roosters and the Brisbane Broncos.

He won the Queensland Cup in 2003, 2005 and 2007 and has also played for South Sydney, Newcastle and the Canberra Raiders.

Jackson has been playing in the NFL since 2015 and is the son of former New York Jets quarterback Mark Jackson.

In his three years with the Jets, Jackson played in eight games for the Jets.

He played in the 2017 Super Bowl with the New England Patriots and the 2018 NFL Draft.

He also played in two games for South Australia’s Storm, with one starting, and one in the Super Rugby competition.

Jackson is also the father of former Broncos star and current Cowboys head coach Phil Jackson.
